For Immediate Release G&F Medical Has New Name and New Location
Improved manufacturing capacity and flexibility Sturbridge, Massachusetts, October 9, 2009 -- G&F Industries announced that its sister company UPCOA has been renamed G&F Medical and its operations moved to Danvers, Massachusetts from Peabody, Massachusetts. The name change reflects the company's greater focus on medical device component manufacturing. The new location gives G&F Medical significant improvement in manufacturing capacity and flexibility to better support their
customer base. The new 14,500 sq. ft. facility has an ISO Class 8 clean room with the flexibility to add modular Class 7 or better clean rooms for special assembly projects. The new facility has an open floor plan to improve production efficiency. Secondary operations can now be performed in a cellular structure to improve product flow and efficiency. Quality inspection is located near manufacturing giving it higher visibility and better communication with production. According to Nirav Patel, G&F Medical's General Manager, one goal in finding a new facility was employee moral and increased productivity. The new building is only 5 miles from the old facility so they retained all their employees. And the new facility is a significant improvement environmentally, with large glass windows which let in huge amounts of natural light that everyone appreciates. |
