Advantages of LIM Silicone Parts

Examples

Medical:
General

  • LIM is a closed manufacturing process that is inherently protected to outside contamination.
  • Silicone is hypoallergenic, inherently resistant to bacteria and is easy to sterilize.
  • Silicone retains its flexibility and resilience indefinitely.

G & F Medical Silicone components provide contamination-free solutions for devices used in medical applications, including general diagnostics, drug-delivery, imaging and endoscopy, angioscopy, arthroscopy and laparoscopy.

  • LSR materials are bio-inert and highly suitable for medical applications. Medical grade LSRs comply with ISO 10993, USP Class VI, and RoHS standards.
  • Customized solutions for every stage including product development, short runs, scale-up, and high volume manufacturing
  • Expertise in producing Peristaltic tubes. G & F Medical molded Peri-Tubes offer design freedom. As compared to extruded tubes, molded tubes are lower in cost, more concentric, and can meet more demanding dimensional tolerances.
  • Color-matched or radiopaque customized parts
  • Full traceability of work procedures and materials using GMP, SPC and ISO disciplines
  • ISO 9001-2000 certified supplier
  • We offer world-class silicone molding expertise with small company, people-based customer service. Quality is everyone's responsibility every day, and this is why many medical device companies have made G & F Medical one of their key suppliers.

CASE Study: Critical Fluid Diagnostic System Assembly
A medical system manufacturer asked G & F Medical to produce an extremely precise coupling component containing a chamber that joins a tiny 0.020-inch diameter capillary orifice with a 0.080 orifice. The intersections of the capillary openings and the chamber must be flashless coming out of the tool, with no secondary operations of any kind.
We created a unique tool and a proprietary, innovative heat transfer system to ensure that the silicone was able to cure fully at the critical internal intersections, eliminating the potential for flashing to form. Contact us for details.
